Diwali, is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance" -it's the celebration of light.
I remember back in 2015 as my #FromColorToTheCosmos journey really began to unfold, I could no longer hide my experiences nor did I want to. Diwali, 2015 was the day I just happened to "come out of my spooky closet" and tell everyone who I was, who I really was. This was a BIG decision for me because I knew that I'd be judged, lose friends, and perhaps shunned by many but I didn't care. I have gifts to share and this is who I am and it's where I continue to walk towards.
The most important thing I've learned over the years is NEVER be afraid to voice who you are and share your authentic self. There is only one you and for those who can't accept you, just bless them on THIER journey because they are not meant to be a part of yours. Celebrate light!
