How To Add Positive Experiences To Your Life

Don't that sound wonderful? Just the word “positive” feels yummy to me and who would NOT want this in their life? The question is, how can we bring positive experiences into our lives? The answers may be more simple than you ever imagined.

I don't know about you but I feel I have to do something big everyday. I mean we all do something but is just taking a day out to read a waste of time or is this a good thing to do?

I have two businesses that keep me busy, Decorating by Donna and this one. However, there are days, such as now, when I've caught up on both ends and I'm looking for something to do.

The first thing that comes to mind, and I so need to change this thinking, is that if I'm not working then I'm not productive or doing something positive. Silly right? I bet many of you do the same.

It's more important than ever now to find positive vibes in the things you do EVERYDAY. These things don't have to be on a big scale like making a sale, writing a book, cleaning your entire home in two hours or going for that 5K marathon you've always wanted to do. That is setting the bar really high.

Over the years, and I'm a very comfortable 57 now, I've learned to love, enjoy, appreciate and want the smaller things in life. For me, these are the things that are more rewarding on a personal level and bring me joy and a positive outlook not only towards life but towards me.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing like the high of getting that whole house color consultation (I did that this week) or have some really amazing connection with Spirit in readings (I did that last week) but sometimes the smaller things in life brings the biggest rewards.

After typing that last paragraph, I took a break for coffee and breakfast. I started watching a movie called Away From Her about an older married couple who start dealing with memory loss. I'm not saying I can relate to that at this time but it made me realize that life is short, not to sweat the small stuff and to love and enjoy the small things in life.

Life is not perfect but we can make it perfect for us. Do what makes you happy and stop trying to change other people, they will not change but you can change how you view things and how you live your life. What do I mean? Here's a list:

Do what YOU love

If it frustrates you, leave it.

If it frustrates you, change it.

Take more time for yourself.

Time is YOURS.

Take up a hobby that you wanted to try.

Even though you love one hobby, switch it to another one.

Let go of friends that you don't resonate with.

Spend more time with friends that resonate with you.

Enjoy the free things in life such as pets, family and nature.

Know that every choice you make is the right one for you.

Don't worry what other people think about you. It's THEIR insecurities that they will try to influence you with.

Shut the radio off and just listen.

Put your phone on airplane mode, those EMF's affect your sleep, thoughts and emotions.

When you go for a walk, look UP not down.

When you go for a walk, notice the small plants or the colors around you.

If you have a backyard, change where you sit. Put your chair in a different spot for a different perspective on things.

Oh I could go on and on. Now of course I'm an empty nester so I have the luxury of “letting go.” Yes my time is my own. I just wish I knew more of this “simple” stuff a few years ago when I was in the hustle and bustle of life.

Don't let too much time go before you realize who you are, what you want and what is important in life. There are many lessons to learn and it's US who make life more complicated than it needs to be.

As you shift your consciousness to something a little less and more simple, you'll see how life will change. Now the trick is keeping these few things in mind everyday before we get all fogged up with stuff again. The great thing is YOU have the reset button and YOU can choose when, how and what positiveness you want to have in your life. Start now.
